Creating Connections - Building Local Leadership Capacity Workshops (2012)

Community Leadership Loddon Murray has just received funding from the Gardiner Foundation to faciliate a series of one day workshops to be held in small dairy communities throughout the Loddon Murray region during 2012 which will help create connections and build on leadership skills to enable individuals to take on active roles within the dairy industry and their own communities.

Join us in Cohuna on Friday 27 July for a networking dinner with AFL legend, Doug Hawkins, to discuss leadership on and off the field.

LeadAbility for Women (mid 2012)

PENDING FUNDING

"LeadAbility for Women" aims to provide women with disabilities living the opportunity to develop their individual skills, confidence, awareness of local issues, and knowledge of and access to local community leadership opportunities. 

A pilot project was held between July and October 2011 for women with disabilities living in Buloke Shire Council, Gannawarra Shire Council and Swan Hill Rural City Council.  We are currently seeking funding to run this innovative projects in other parts of the Loddon Murray region in 2012.

Operation Next Gen (2012)

PENDING FUNDING

Inspiring, engaging and supporting young people to become more entrepreneurial

Operation Next Gen proposes to empower small communities in the Loddon Mallee Region to take positive action to increase employment opportunities and encourage more young people to live and work in small rural towns.  Kerry Anderson attended a study tour to the United States in November 2011 to further research this important topic.
